Tourist and Other Attractions in the Area
Hotel Afrodyta **** Business & SPA - is situated near the Dąbrowa Radziejowska nature reserve.
The Hotel is surrounded by a large, perfectly preserved forest complex with populations of oak, birch, poplar, beech and pine. There are many protected plant species to be found in the reserve, including: lily of the valley and the cowslip primrose, and is home to over 130 species of birds and many types of insects:
» The reservation is crossed by many hiking trails and cycling routes.
*There are bicycle hire facilities at the Hotel.
» Near the Hotel there are also trails designated for Nordic Walking
» The charming little Pisia river flows 100m from the Hotel.
Those Guests who have licences can indulge in their passion for angling.
» 15 km from the Hotel flows the Rawka river, where we organise canoe rides.
Special canoe trails have been marked out with varying degrees of difficulty.
During breaks in the run, we recommend a little picnic with a bonfire and sausage grill
» 4 km from the Hotel in Mszczonów there is a geothermal pool complex
» In and close by the reserve there are many historical monuments and relics:
- the factory settlement in Żyrardów
- World War 1 cemeteries in Wiskitki, Budy Grabskie and Joachimów
- the 19th century Czarnecki manor, the Tileworks in Mszczonów
- the Church of St John the Baptist, built in 1862-1886 Mszczonów
- Jan Graczyk's Summer Sculpture and Painting Gallery in Budy Grabskie
- the historic cemetery in Żelechów, where the outstanding Polish painter Józef Chełmoński is buried
- the Anna and Jarosław Iwaszkiewicz Museum in Stawisk
- Museum of Lwow in Kuklówka
