Nordic Walking is no more than a natural walk enriched with the technique of pushing yourself off the ground with the aid of specially constructed poles. Skilful use of the poles causes an exceptionally healthy unburdening of the legs and entire weight distribution associated with movement onto the arms and upper body stimulating 90% of all the body's muscles. Nordic Walking knows no boundaries regarding age, fitness or weight. The advantages from practising this sport are varied. Walking with poles is up to 40% more effective than without. Nordic Walking improves the functioning of many muscles in the upper and lower limbs and in the torso. It loosens the neck and shoulders. Nordic Walking can help you keep your whole body in good shape. You take care of your heart, muscles and vascular system.
